Serenize
Terms of Use
These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of Serenize, including serenize.app, the Serenize member application, public program pages, early-access or beta features, and any future paid Serenize services. By creating an account, accessing a member-only feature, or otherwise accepting these Terms, you agree to them.
1. About Serenize
Serenize is a self-development and wellbeing service designed to provide structured programs, guided exercises, reflections, scenario-based learning and practical tools intended to support calm, clarity, awareness and deliberate action. Serenize is currently operated as a pre-incorporation project in India and is available in early-access or beta form. Before an unrestricted public or paid launch, these Terms will be updated with the legal name and business or registered address of the operator. Serenize may later include paid programs, subscriptions, mobile applications and other services.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create a Serenize account or use member-only features. By using Serenize, you confirm that you meet this requirement and have legal capacity to accept these Terms.
3. Serenize is not medical or emergency care
Serenize provides educational, self-development and wellbeing content. It is not medical, psychiatric, psychological, therapeutic, diagnostic or emergency-care advice, and it does not create a doctor-patient, therapist-client or other professional healthcare relationship.
Do not rely on Serenize to diagnose or treat a health condition or to handle an emergency. If you believe you may be in immediate danger or require urgent medical or mental-health assistance, contact the appropriate local emergency service or a qualified professional.
Results vary between people. Serenize does not guarantee any particular improvement, outcome, performance result or change in wellbeing.
4. Early access, beta and future releases
During early access or beta, Serenize may be provided free of charge. Features, programs, content, availability and design may change as we test and improve the service. Beta features may contain errors or may be modified, suspended or removed.
When Serenize moves into general or paid release, these Terms will continue to apply unless replaced or updated. Material changes will be communicated as appropriate.
5. Accounts and security
- Provide accurate information when creating or updating your account.
- Keep your password, device and sign-in credentials secure and do not share access to your account.
- You are responsible for activity carried out through your account unless caused by a failure for which Serenize is legally responsible.
- Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
- Serenize may require email verification or other reasonable checks to protect accounts and the service.
6. Google Sign-In
If you use Google Sign-In, you also interact with Google's authentication service and are subject to Google's applicable terms and privacy practices. Serenize uses Google Sign-In only to authenticate or link your Serenize account as described in the Serenize Privacy Policy. If no Serenize account already exists for the Google identity, you must complete Serenize's account-creation flow, including the required age confirmation, acceptance of these Terms and privacy consent, before a Serenize account is created.
7. Acceptable use
You must not:
- use Serenize for unlawful, fraudulent, harmful or abusive purposes;
- attempt to gain unauthorized access to accounts, systems, source code, infrastructure or data;
- interfere with security controls, access restrictions, signed media links, rate limits or technical protections;
- scrape, copy, redistribute, sell or commercially exploit Serenize content except where we expressly permit it;
- upload malware, malicious code or content that infringes another person's rights;
- impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation; or
- use automated means to overload, disrupt or materially impair the service.
8. Programs, tools and personal responsibility
Serenize programs and tools are intended to support reflection and skill practice. You remain responsible for your decisions, actions and wellbeing. Use your judgment when applying any exercise or suggestion, and stop using an exercise if you believe it is inappropriate or unsafe for your circumstances.
9. Your reflections, responses and feedback
You may choose to submit reflections, scenario responses, feedback and other content. You retain ownership of content you create. For private reflections, scenario responses and similar personal program content, you grant Serenize only the limited, non-exclusive rights necessary to store, process, secure, back up, recover and display that content to you, and otherwise provide the features you request, in accordance with the Privacy Policy. Private reflection or scenario text is not licensed to Serenize for advertising, AI-model training or routine product analytics.
If you voluntarily provide product ideas, suggestions or general feedback that is separate from private program content, you allow Serenize to use that feedback to improve or develop the service without an obligation to compensate you. This permission does not extend to private reflection or scenario text merely because it is stored in Serenize.
10. Serenize content and intellectual property
Serenize and its licensors retain all rights in the Serenize brand, software, interface, programs, exercises, text, audio, video, graphics and other service content, except for user-provided content. Subject to these Terms, Serenize grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right to use the service for your own lawful personal use.
11. Third-party services
Serenize relies on third-party infrastructure and services, which may include cloud hosting, media delivery, email, identity, error monitoring and payment services. Third-party services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies. Serenize is not responsible for third-party services to the extent permitted by applicable law, but we remain responsible for obligations that applicable law places directly on Serenize.
12. Paid services, payments, cancellations and refunds
No payment is required for the current early-access beta unless a paid offering is clearly displayed. Before Serenize introduces paid programs, subscriptions or other paid features, the service will display the responsible legal entity details and any legally required customer-care or grievance information. The applicable price, taxes, billing basis, renewal terms, cancellation terms, refund policy and material access conditions will be shown before you authorize payment.
Payments may be processed by a third-party payment provider. Additional payment-provider terms may apply. Nothing in these Terms limits any refund, cancellation or consumer right that cannot lawfully be excluded.
13. Privacy
Our collection and use of personal data is described in the Serenize Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy is incorporated by reference for purposes of explaining how Serenize handles personal data, but accepting these Terms does not waive any privacy right provided by applicable law.
14. Service availability and changes
We aim to keep Serenize available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access. Maintenance, security events, internet failures, third-party outages or other circumstances may temporarily affect the service. We may modify or discontinue features where reasonably necessary, subject to applicable law and any specific commitments made for a paid service.
15. Suspension and account termination
You may stop using Serenize and close your account through the service where that option is available. Closing an account also withdraws consent for the personal-data processing required to operate that account, subject to limited backup retention and information that Serenize must retain by law, as explained in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary for security, suspected abuse, violation of these Terms, legal compliance or protection of Serenize or other users. Where appropriate, we may provide notice or an opportunity to address the issue.
16. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Serenize is provided on an "as available" basis. We do not make promises that every program or tool will be suitable for every person, that the service will always be uninterrupted, or that use of Serenize will produce a specific personal, professional, health or performance outcome.
Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties, guarantees or other rights that cannot legally be excluded.
17. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Serenize will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses arising from use of, or inability to use, the service. Any limitation applies only to the extent legally permitted and does not exclude liability that cannot be limited under applicable consumer, data-protection or other law.
18. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Before starting formal proceedings, we encourage you to contact us so that we can try to resolve the issue. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be subject to the jurisdiction of a competent court in India, subject to any mandatory consumer or other legal rights.
19. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as Serenize evolves. The updated version will show a new Last updated date. If a change materially affects existing users, we will provide reasonable notice and, where required, ask you to accept the updated Terms.
